Sea Rats

Curse of the Sea Rats is a captivating 'ratoidvania' platform adventure, boasting lovingly crafted, hand-drawn animations. The epic journey follows four prisoners of the British empire, who have been transformed into rats by the notorious pirate witch, Flora Burn. To regain their human forms, they must confront dangerous bosses, uncover the secrets of the vast Irish coast, and ultimately capture the witch responsible for their curse.

Lavish art and animation seamlessly blend beautiful hand-drawn visuals, inspired by classic animated films and the golden age of 2D platformers, with detailed 3D environments, creating a stunning 2.5D platforming experience.

The game offers a vast, non-linear world for players to explore, as they seek to track down the pirate witch who has cursed them. Shipwrecked on the Irish Coast in the 18th Century, players will need to rely on more than just their swashbuckling skills to forge a path to freedom.

Discover four playable characters - David Douglas, Buffalo Calf, Bussa, and Akane Yamakawa - each with a unique playstyle to help overcome both enemies and the environment. Players can embark on the adventure alone or join up to three friends in local co-op.

As the adventure progresses, players can enhance and upgrade their character's unique abilities, unlocking new special skills, boosting offence and defence, or learning powerful magics.
