The Legend of Cold Steel II (PS4)

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II has received the same HD remaster treatment as its predecessor on PlayStation 4, boasting 4K/60 FPS support, a turbo mode to streamline gameplay, and the option to play with the original Japanese voices along with approximately 50% extra lines of English voice-over dialogue. This sequel picks up just one month after the decisive collision that changed the fate of the entire nation of Erebonia, allowing players to continue Rean's journey as he tirelessly works to right the wrongs that have led the country to disarray.

The remastered version of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II features 4K/60 FPS support, a brand new turbo mode that allows players to explore the map at 2x speed and battle at 4x speed, a Japanese dual-audio option, 50% additional English voiceover lines, and all DLC included from the start. Completion save data from any version of the first game can be carried over, enabling players to pick up where they left off on their PS3/PS Vita save data.

The game's Link System has been enhanced, offering net benefits such as healing, guarding, and more. Additionally, the brand new Overdrive mode allows linked characters to attack up to three turns in a row, further expanding the strategic depth of combat. Players can also recruit allies to prepare for war, as Thors attendees are scattered across the country, offering access to shops, goods, training modes, systems, and the Trails series' highly celebrated colorful dialogue.
